Dance Teacher

Are you a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher? Do you love working with children and helping them explore the world of dance? Prodigy School of the Arts is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to join our team.

Position:Dance Teacher (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop)

Age Group: Children (Ages 4-8)

Location: 490 Uniondale Ave. Uniondale, NY

Type: Part-time

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging dance classes in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop for children aged 4-8.
• Create a fun and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive and express themselves through dance.
• Develop age-appropriate dance routines and choreography.
• Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
• Organize and participate in recitals and performances to showcase the students' talent.
• Foster a love for dance and creativity in young minds.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dance Teacher, particularly with young children.
• Proficiency in teaching ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with both children and parents.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching.
• A background in dance education is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 6 per week
