FocusCare Community is a provider of Medicare enrollment services, dedicated to helping individuals access the healthcare programs they need. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Senior Support Specialist.
Position Summary:
You will play a crucial role in educating individuals that have reached out to us about special Medicare programs that they weren't aware existed, and assisting them in enrolling in suitable plans. This position requires a solid understanding of Medicare basics and experience working in Medicare, preferably during an entire AEP (Annual Enrollment Period) season.
Responsibilities:
- Educate individuals that have reached out to us about Medicare programs they may be eligible for, but weren’t aware of.
- Check eligibility for various Medicare programs and assist individuals in enrolling in suitable plans.
- Collaborate with multiple large partner organizations to identify groups that need to be educated on Medicare and provide enrollment support.
- Focus on educating and enrolling individuals in programs that don’t require any financial commitment. The programs we educate on, are at no cost to the senior. We just need patient individuals that can be patient and very helpful to take their time and educate the seniors that reach out to us. This position is a reflection of the company, so we are looking for someone who cares, and really enjoys helping others.
Location Requirement:
- Must be within a drivable distance of Herndon, VA, as brief and occasional in-person training sessions will be held in Herndon at the start.
Remote Work Requirement:
- Must have the ability to work from home, with access to a cell phone, computer, and reliable internet connection.
Certification/Licensing Requirements:
- Must have a Life and Health insurance license.
- Preferred (but not required) to also have current AHIP certification for Medicare.
