Senior Tactical Systems Analyst (Airworthiness)

Salary range $59.00 - $80.00 hourly DOE
Position Summary
We are immediately seeking an F/A-18C-F Subject Matter Expert to join our motivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES) Division and support our F/A-18C-F and EA-18G team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is a part time position.
The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering relevant technical information directly to fleet aviators. As part of ACES, the Airworthiness Team provides support to maintain currency of technical data on hardware and software of F/A-18C-F and EA-18G aircraft systems via NATIP publications while also providing support to the NAVAIR NATOPS efforts.
Responsibilities
- Research, process, and distill complex technical material for meaningful and engaging technical writing to fleet Naval Aviators.
- Engage with design engineers to create a technical manual that is applicable and accurate for fleet Naval Aviators.
- Engage with the NAVAIR process for technical publications to ensure timelines are met, testing is complete, data is accurate, and content is being edited properly.
- Prepare and facilitate meetings as required both internally and externally.
- Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within ACES.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of eight (8) years as F/A-18C-F aircrew (pilot or WSO).
- Familiarity and expertise with F/A-18C-F and EA-18G mission planning and aircraft systems.
- Travel (30%) required to various work sites throughout the U.S.
- Valid state driver license.
- U.S. Citizenship with an active and current Secret Clearance with SAP eligibility.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Extensive operational Strike Fighter and graduate-level credentials in Hornet / Super Hornet employment, instruction, and/or flight test.
- Experience with various operational squadrons, training squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence.
- Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors and the aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation industry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to respond in a timely manner to both customers and industry partners.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects.

- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
