SalarySenior Strategy - Communications Officer
D&G is seeking a highly talented Senior Strategy - Communications Officer to support the Defense Logistics Agency Logistics Operations (DLA J3) Director’s Action Group (DAG). The J3 is responsible for the end-to-end management of DLA's eight supply chains, providing logistics and materiel solutions to our nation’s deployed warfighters, working directly with OSD, Services and Combatant Commands. The ideal candidate will have headquarters level strategy and policy experience at DLA and/or other major headquarters staffs. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a multifunctional team supporting one of DoD’s highest priority organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting and synchronizing J3 actions for the DLA executive board and alignment group structures; supporting operations for enterprise operations planning council under the J3 DAG.
- Operationalizing J3’s staff, functions, and procedures to improve J3’s priorities development, decision feedback loop, and knowledge management.
- Preparing and coordinating strategic communications to stakeholders including speeches, presentations, virtual forums, and written communication.
- Supporting the enterprise operations planning council and J3 involvement in alignment group and executive board.
- Assist with executing J3 and agency-level tasks utilizing the task management tool (TMT) for OSD, joint staff, and DLA tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 10 years’ experience supporting a major headquarters level staff.
- Secret Clearance
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Place of Performance: Hybrid. On average - 3 days a week at DLA HQ, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060; 2 Days a week remote.
