Medical Scheduler/Receptionist Oncology/Hematology

Responsibilities:

- Schedule patient appointments for out/in patient procedures , MRI< CT scan ultrasounds, mammograms, Blood transfusions, dexa, bone, biopsy, echo, and specialty.

-Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professional to ensure seamless patient care.

- Provide patients with pre-appointment instructions and answer any queries elated to the scheduling process.

- Handle rescheduling and cancellations efficiently to minimize disruption to office operations.
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and friendly experience
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow

Skills:
- Proficiency in using medical office systems such as , Epic, or similar software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for providing exceptional patient service
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with office or emergency room operations is a plus
