Gastroenterology Specialists Inc is a busy private practice in Canton, OH. We have 5 physicians and 4 Advance Practice Providers.
Our medical office is seeking a Medical Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of gastroenterology and be able to manage patient scheduling, coordinate patient appointments, and handle incoming calls from patients. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent customer service skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic and growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures in accordance with the practice's protocols.
- Answer patient inquiries and provide information regarding the practice's services.
- Ensure that patient information is accurately entered into the practice's electronic medical records system.
- Obtain and track required insurance prior authorizations and surgical clearances
- Assist in all areas of the scheduling team: Discharge Scheduling, Office Scheduling and Procedure Scheduling
Job Eligibility Requirements:
- Medical assistant degree or previous experience in medical office scheduling
- Knowledgeable of insurance plans and their requirements if pre-certification is required
- Possess good communication skills with both co-workers and the public.
- Friendly and courteous at all times with both the public and with co-workers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
