What will you be doing?
Performs primary responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies, and procedures and applicable laws. Duties include delegate work assignments to specified unit or work group, takes lead for unit to respond to questions or external and internal complaints, point of contact to answer process or unit procedure questions, back up for manager or supervisor as needed, may require specialized training in related area.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Under the direction of the Supervisor, leads the day to day activities and assignments of assigned scheduling staff and/or other related staff members.
- Advises and assists staff on problem solving patient/customer issues.
- Assists Supervisor with scheduling employee time off and daily work assignments
- Addresses physician complaints or issues associated with operations of the scheduling issues.
- Provides statistical reporting of daily call volume, pre reg, scheduling errors, work queue
- Works with manager to develop flow processes leading to decreased errors and increased efficiencies
What are we looking for in our next new hire?
- High school diploma or two or more years of experience or training in healthcare.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with enthusiasm and compassion along with the ability to multitask working in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, team members, and others throughout the clinic.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to triage clinical issues to the provider or designee to determine appropriate scheduling action.
- Ability to maintain annual training required for EPIC certification.
