Job description
We are looking for a Receptionist/Scheduler for our Albany location. The Receptionist/Scheduler will work under the direction of the Business Manager and will support our intake coordinators with admission of new clients. Hours: 8AM-5PM.
We are looking for an experienced Medical receptionist and enjoys the work. A person who enjoys working with people, can work independently but is a team player, and take initiative, is an excellent communicator, and is willing to be accountable. Furthermore, a person who is organized, detail-oriented, can multitask, works systematically, is experienced with Google Drive, and Microsoft Office, is experienced verifying insurance benefits, and preferably has experience with Oregon Health Plan.
Since this is a position in Mental Health, we are looking for a team member who understands clients with Mental Health challenges, who can interact warmly and compassionately with Arise's clients.

Receptionist/Scheduler Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers the phone at the Arise office and answers questions or directs phone calls and messages
- Greets clients upon arrival and answers client questions regarding scheduling, therapist availability, office procedures, HIPAA compliance
- Schedules and coordinates patient appointments to optimize client satisfaction and facility efficiency
- Collect client payments
- Communicate with therapists regarding scheduling and new clients, cancellations, and schedule changes
- Creates and updates patients' electronic health records
- Records and updates demographic and financial information
- Schedules intake appointments with the intake coordinator
- Verifies patient insurance benefits, and answers Client insurance questions pertaining to their coverage and fees
- Maintain total confidentiality of personal and financial data
- Word processing, filing, Information research, Shredding, Faxing, Keeping reception HIPAA compliant and completing any and all clerical functions
- Keeps track of intake metrics (tracking incoming calls, scheduled sessions, referral sources)
- Comply with organizational guidelines and health care laws and regulations.
- Ensures client consent forms are signed and filed, and communicates with clients about consent requirements and procedures
- Takes care of office needs like faxing, printing, filing, and keeping the office organized and running smoothly.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Starting wage: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Depending on experience.
