Medical Receptionist

Position Overview:

Part time position available in a fun and outgoing physical therapy clinic on the westside of Bend, OR. We are looking for someone who is dependable with a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and is looking to work at a place they can make a home! We are hoping to find someone who is looking for a long term position!

Scheduled hours: Monday - Thursday 2:00pm - 5:30pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm

We prefer one year of receptionist experience, but are willing to train someone if they're the right fit!

Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

The Individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities.

• Perform reception and office support duties, such as answering phones, taking and transmitting messages, greeting patients, maintaining a clean and presentable office, scanning, faxing documents, making photocopies, sending and receiving of mail and packages, and maintaining electronic filing
• Schedule and confirm new and return patient appointments via in person, phone, email, and text
• Ensure patient intake tasks are complete including insurance verification and data entry into Electronic Medical Record system
• Collect payments at time of service as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills applied to interactions with coworkers and patients
• Effectively compose accurate and grammatically correct communications, both verbal and written
• Manage a high volume of tasks at one time, including organizing and prioritizing own work
• Work independently with minimum direction
• Demonstrate a high attention to detail
• Advanced working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• One year of prior medical office experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work is primarily sedentary. Work involves the normal risks and discomforts associate with an office environment including use of computers and other office equipment.
