We are seeking a skilled and motivated Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting the optometrist in providing excellent eye care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing various tasks to support the optometrist and ensure smooth operations within the office.
```Responsibilities:```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Obtain and record patient medical history, including any relevant symptoms or complaints
- Perform preliminary tests and measurements, such as color vision, and depth perception, ocular photos and digital imaging of the eye
- Assist with contact lens instructions for proper use and care
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as tonometry and visual field testing
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems
- Provide patient education on eye health, contact lens wear, and proper eyeglass care
- Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and processing payments
```Qualifications:```
-We are willing to train when no experience in an optometry office
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
