Overview:
We are seeking a mature, responsible detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Optical Assistant. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative medical support and assisting with various tasks in our optical office. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development. Happy to train an excellent candidate.
Receptionist/Optical Assistant Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and friendly experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
-Product sales and various tasks as needed
- Process orders for eyewear, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Skills:
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical receptionist duties is a plus
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Computer skills, accuracy, ability to focus and attention to detail must be exceptional
- Excellent work ethic, positive demeanor, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to learn and work efficiently
