Nutrition Connection is a small healthcare office in Reno, NV. Medical Office Assistant

Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's phone system
- Assist with patient registration and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Collect and process payments for services rendered and work to rectify insurance billing errors
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks, such as mailing patient education and insurance claims
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, faxes, and email

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records software
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently

We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with regular business hours. You would work in our office Mondays and Fridays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with potential additional hours conducted remotely.
