Small Dermatology practice looking to hire a friendly, reliable experienced individual to join our team in our beautiful office. Monday to Friday.
Our Dermatology office is located in a gorgeous converted house and is in one location.
As a Medical Receptionist you will be responsible for the day to day duties of the front desk. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. Kindness to patients is key. Training will be provided to motivated candidates.
Responsibilities
- Check in/Check out patients
- Collect payments; office co-pays, deductibles and self pay balances at check out
- Make appointment confirmation calls
- Organize and schedule new and existing patient appointments
- Answer phone and answers questions within scope of practice, route calls as appropriate and take detailed messages as needed
- Enter data into electronic medical record as needed to maintain patient records
- Register patients by obtaining and entering accurate demographic and insurance information
- Insurance verification's
- Balance money collected and daily deposit at the end of the day
Skills
- Dermatology office experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency using electronic medical records software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
