Qualifications

Educational Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED (required)
· Have at least one year of experience working as a Medical Receptionist (preferable)
Basic functions and responsibilities:
May include but are not limited to:
· Answering the phone
· Greeting patients as they enter the clinic and checking them in
· Providing appropriate paperwork for patients to fill out for their appointment
· Restocking supplies
· Proper cleaning of equipment and rooms between patients and at the end of each day
· Assisting with tasks for which she/he has been trained. Must have knowledge of safety and sanitation practices. Must be familiar with and is supportive of the company policies and procedures.
· Other tasks as requested by the clinic director or physician for which she/he has been properly trained
Organization
· Verbalizes understanding of roles and responsibilities of:

Infection Control
· Must refer to and implement all aspects of the Infection Control Policy
· Understands and can demonstrate Standard Precautions, use of personal protective equipment, proper hand hygiene, needle stick prevention, and blood borne pathogen exposure, per policy.
Will maintain a safe physical environment for the patient.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of:
· Maintaining patient confidentiality and security
· Attends annual OSHA training, HIPAA training and all other required in-services.
· Attends and participates in all applicable meetings.
- Knowledgeable of cleaning requirements and schedules; terminal cleaning of procedure rooms
- Is proficient with computers
Equipment
· Is familiar with and can operate all equipment pertinent to job duties/ description
Typical Physical Demands:
Position requires: full range of body motion including handling and lifting heavy objects.
Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
Position involves standing and walking.
Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.
Safety and Emergency Preparedness
Describes safety plan and knows location of evacuation meeting place, describes staff roles as well as personal role; understands the HAZCOM program and use/location of SDS books. Is able to recognize and respond to potential emergent situations.

· Wednesday: 8:45am - 5:15 pm
· Thursday: 8:45am - 5:15 pm
· Friday: 8:45am - 5:15 pm
· Saturday: 8:45am - 5:15 pm ( NON NEGOTIABLE )
· Sunday: off'
