Medical Receptionist

At Synapse Psychiatry, we provide psychiatric and behavioral health care in our office as well as virtually. We are dedicated to providing our community with high quality care.

Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

• Excellent customer service skills a must for our small practice
• Patient registration and accounts updating personal and financial information
• Insurance verification for eligibility for care, communicate to patients and collect charges
• Schedule, reschedule, and verify patient appointments
• Checking blood pressure, pulse, height and weight and recording data
• Optimizing patient satisfaction, clinicians’ efficiency through excellent communication
• Triaging patient issues, making timely referrals to clinicians
• Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and assisting with any service delays
• Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
• Complete prior authorizations with assistance from clinicians
• Contact pharmacies / community clinicians / patients
• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes
• Keep the environment monitored, organized, stocked and sanitized
• Contribute to Synapse Psychiatry team effort
• Hours would be between 9 am - 6 pm, office open Monday - Friday

Experience Requirements:

• Prefer medical private practice experience
• Prefer Certified Medical Assistant

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
