Title: Medical Receptionist
Job Summary: The individual in this position is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, answer incoming calls, take messages, and direct messages to the appropriate staff members.
Job Duties:
- Greeting patients in a professional manner both in person and on the phone
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Assist patients by answering questions about balance or treatment plan
- Follow up with daily patient tasks/calls
- Maintain office and equipment supply needs
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receptionist area
- Any other duties or responsibilities Management may assign from time to time and when the need arises
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work with clinical and nonclinical staff
- Ability to learn about patients and their problems
- Must be dependable and flexible with work schedule
- Positive and welcoming attitude
- Must be able to multi-task, organized and detail oriented, be a team player
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiar working with electronic health records
Experience:
- Must have at last one (1) year prior experience in family medicine
Full-Time Position: Monday – Friday
