JOB SUMMARY:
This position has oversight and is responsible for managing the CAREWare system and prepares reports to assess the impact of Ryan White funds and for data quality, data analysis, and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Provides technical assistance to Program staff and service providers on CAREWare data and supervise the CAREWare Data Team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OVERALL TASKS AND EXPECTATIONS OF THE POSITION):
1) Manages the CAREWare system and prepares reports to assess the impact of Ryan White funds and for data quality, data analysis, and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
2) Provides technical assistance to Program staff and service providers on CAREWare data and any other projects where the need is requested. Ensure program data reports are completed and submitted to HRSA on or before the required due date (RSR).
3) Provide performance management, oversight and supervision for the CAREWare Data Team.
4) Downloads CAREWare data as scheduled or needed. Reviews and corrects data that appears inconsistent or erroneous. Reconciles data entered with generated reports. Back-up and transfer data files according to appropriate format.
5) Proactively identifies ways to improve Program and programmatic data; identifies and acts to address problems and opportunities.
6) Develops/provides CAREWare training/technical assistance for staff members and providers when needed or when new procedures are implemented.
7) Create, maintain, and update a standardized VPN/SOG system for new and existing CAREWare users to obtain access to the system.
8) Completes/oversees the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Quarterly Report Cards for submission to the ADAP Enrollment sites.
9) Completes/oversees the ADAP Data Report (ADR) and submits to HRSA via the Electronic Handbook prior to the required due date.
10) Assists the Ryan White Part B/ADAP Program Manager with the completion of the annual Part B, ADAP and supplemental grant applications, including the development of an action/work plan.
11) Supervises, guides and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Supervises the collection, analysis, interpretation of data and preparation of reports that staff may produce.
12) Oversee the collection and supervision of quarterly Statewide Performance Measure reports and collaborate with Quality Management Team on an ongoing basis to development improve and update Performance Measure policies.
13) Work directly with jProg vendor and DPH DBA to update and run SQL reports.Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years experience managing professional level staff
OR
Seven years of related professional experience AND Three years managing at the level equivalent to area of assignment
OR
Three years of experience at the lower level (GSM010) or position equivalent.
Note: A combination of education and experience at agency discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Public Health or closely related field
  • Experience in HIV Care, including: data analysis, data management, and establishing/monitoring protocols.
  • Experience with CAREWare system
