Medical Receptionist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our medical office.

Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying their personal and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow
- Handle patient concerns or complaints with empathy and escalate issues when necessary

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, or in an administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and radiology procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including handling emergency situations at the front desk

Pay: $18.55 - $22.34 per hour
