Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate, caring, friendly, reliable, hardworking person to join our talented staff of health care professionals. We need a Front Desk Receptionist at North Park Family Practice. Qualifications and Responsibilities are listed below.

Must be able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

Front desk scheduling

Greeting patients, and checking them in and out for appointments

Answering phones and online inquiries

Collecting co-pays and other fees required prior to office visits

Obtaining pre-authorizations for patient visits

Insurance re-verifications

Data entry, scanning

Maintaining the front desk and reception areas

Patient and physician interaction on the phone, and in-person

Notify patients of test results

Managing, updating, and charting patient records in an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system

Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

This individual must be motivated and a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people.

Previous medical, administrative, customer service, or front office experience is a definite plus.

Working knowledge of insurance benefits, deductibles, co-payments related to the delivery of medical care would be great.

Knowledge of general office equipment

Good writing and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and remain friendly and professional.

Friendly personality with the desire to work with the public.

Ability to prioritize and follow up on completion of tasks

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
