Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator
We are a private practice with an immediate opening for a Front Desk Receptionist that can work in a busy environment while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
With a talented team, we provide support and cross training at every level.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Welcomes patients and On-site Visitors
- Operates multi-line telephone system and answers incoming telephone calls
- Monitors clinic flow of patients, Check-in / Check-out
- Collects and verifies insurance information
- Obtains Prior Authorizations and/or Primary Care Referrals
- Collects Copays, Balances, Self-Pay, and Specialty Upgrades
- Retrieves messages from voicemail
- Provides patient with proper forms to be filled out by patients
- Retrieves patient forms and properly documents patient information into Electronic Health Records
- Appointment Confirmations
- Arranges for follow-up visits
- Recalls/Tasks
- Prepares the next day appointments
- Coordinates scheduling for Office and Surgery Center(s)
- Schedules incoming Patient Referrals
- Responds to Medical Records Requests
- Maintains fax machine; send and retrieves incoming faxes
- Maintains organization of waiting room(s)
- Receives and sorts mail
- Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information
- Performs other clerical duties as needed
Practice hours are M-F 8 am – 5 pm.
