We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
```Duties```
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries
- Verify patient information and update records in our electronic medical records system
- Collect co-pays and process insurance information accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with phone systems and electronic medical records (EMR) software
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
