Medical Weight Loss of Cherry Hill is a boutique-type practice that is different than the usual medical practice. We are a low-volume practice seeing at most 3-4 patients per hour. I treat my office staff with respect and recognize that a good Medical Receptionist is a critical part of the care that we give to patients working to lose weight.
It is important that everyone on the team is friendly with good interpersonal skills.
A Medical Receptionist in this office would be working along-side of me and a medical assistant to help each patient with their individualized, medically supervised weight loss plan.
The position requires a person who is reliable and good at multitasking. The job is a mix of being a Medical Receptionist and a support for patients on their weight loss journey.
Typical jobs to do during the day include:
- Answering phones, texts and listening to voicemails.
- Patient check in and check out/keeping up with medical meal replacement products and inventory.
- Learning about nutrition for weight loss to help support patients (taught by Dr. Dishler and our team).
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and how to accept payments (this will be taught).
- Scheduling patients for different types of follow up visits.
- Learning about how we take care of new patients to be able to explain our program over the phone
- Messages for medication refills.
- Confirming patient appointments via call or text (we have an Iphone)
- Patient communication and being part of the patient care team.
Medical Weight Loss of Cherry Hill is a fun and inspiring place to work, and I love teaching my staff about the field and how we can best support patients.
