Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical assistant/ Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As a Medical assitant/ Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations in our medical facility. Your attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication abilities will contribute to the overall efficiency of our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork
- Assist with coding and billing procedures
- Provide medical administrative support to healthcare providers
- Perform vital signs measurements and record patient information accurately
- Assist with EKG's,, holter's and stress tests procedures as needed
- Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support patient care
- refill medications as directed by healthcare providers
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical assistant/Receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and basic medical procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
