Medical Receptionist For Ambulatory Surgery Center

We are an Ambulatory Surgery Center (General Surgery) located in Lawrenceville, seeking an excellent personality with great work ethic for our Front Desk. Shift hours are 6am to 3:00pm and must be able to multi-task through out the day and be quick on your feet. Receptionist with the following clinical skills required:

• Great patient service skills
• Efficient and multi-tasker
• PROFESSIONAL
• Ability to answer multiple phone lines
• Able to recognize emergencies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with patient, patient families, co-workers and surgeons.
• Basic knowledge in interpreting an "explanation of benefits" to patients and collecting patient payments
• Experience using WORD and EXCEL

Job responsibilities:

• Maintaining the schedule
• Answering phones and returning messages
• Check-in
• Explaining patient balance and collecting payments
• Complete forms and write patient letters
• Constructing Charts
• Request and transfer medical records
• Ordering of Office Supplies
• Ordering of Patient Snacks and Drinks
• Running deposits to the bank
• Minimum Requirements:
• Professional appearance and friendly personality
• Willingness to learn and be a team player
• Should be willing to cross train to other areas of the front office
• Should be proficient, efficient and multitask, should be able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSCHA rules and regulations
• Should be able to start at 6:00am with the shift ending at 2:30pm, needs to be okay with flexibility with hours when schedule is longer or shorter.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
