We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting.
```Duties:```
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient information and update medical records
- Collect co-pays and process insurance information
- Assist with medical scheduling and coordinate referrals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth operations
```Qualifications:```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred
- Proficient in using computer systems, including electronic medical record (EMR) software such as Epic or eClinicalWorks
-Bilingual preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism
-Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory
