Medical Receptionist

We are an expanding occupational health clinic with three locations in Maplewood, Eagan, and Plymouth seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual looking for a fast paced environment. The primary location would be Maplewood. Qualified candidates must have good customer service, ability to multitask with both face to face interactions and phone services, strong organizational skills, and must have some knowledge of medical terminology with 1-2 years of experience being preferred in office or reception setting. Candidates must also be available from 7:30am-5:30pm M-F.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling software
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth operations of the front desk
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working or Medical Receptionist role is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information and scheduling appointments
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
