Total Women’s Care seeks a part time receptionist (with the potential for a full time position) to join one of the most exclusive OB/GYN offices in the Houston Heights. Candidate must have great work ethic, be committed, dress professional, be able to greet patients in person and by phone, make them feel welcome, as this person will help develop the first impression to the office. This position is critical to cultivating the patient-physician relationship, and establishing clientele. This office is not the traditional OB/GYN office - we will provide our patients with the utmost care, focus on nutritional aspects during pregnancy, and provide a tranquil environment for both our obstetric and gynecologic patients. A background check will be performed prior to hiring consideration.
Practice Demographics: Newer small private practice, has been opened for 4 years; Open Monday/Wednesday 8am-4pm, Tuesday/Thursday from 8am-6pm.
Candidate must also meet the following criteria:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Professional appearance and communication (written and oral)
- Experience in Women's Care and OB Payment plans a plus
- MUST have 1-2 years of insurance verification experience, as this will be required on a daily basis
- Have experience in a clinical setting or able to learn quickly the aspects of a clinical office
- Able to make patient appointment per management and input patient’s information in Athena database appropriately
- Greet patient and inform appropriate personnel to ensure client is seen in a timely fashion
- Follow the guidelines of the office with regards to cash flow, and managing client payments
- Complete opening and closing procedures
- Keep client reception area clean and orderly
- Demonstrates respect and dignity for all patients, family members, and other employees to maintain a professional environment.
- Able to comply with HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintains safety in the work place and ensures patient safety
- Attends safety and education conferences as required
- Able to perform Universal Precautions if asked
- Ability to be proactive when dealing with any issues that arise
- Able to participate in bimonthly seminars if needed
