Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using office systems (e.g., Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks)
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as required
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized for patients
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role (e.g., dental receptionist, front desk)
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Familiarity with dental or medical terminology is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- High school diploma or equivalent
