We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Front Desk Receptionist which would need to rotate between 4 of our main offices: Franklin Lakes, Glen Rock, Paramus and Westwood.
This is a full-time position Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5PM. (Half hour unpaid lunch)
Summary: Responsible for greeting patients, relaying incoming telephone calls to the appropriate person, and performing assigned medical administrative responsibilities by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- On the designated time each day, ensures the readiness of the reception area, and ensures that the Front Desk activities are fully operational.
- Greets patients and schedule, cancel and reschedule patient appointments for routine office visits, consultations, treatments and follow-ups using computer system.
- Re-verify all medical insurance information and scan insurance card into system.
- Check for correct insurance billing address on patient’s insurance card and update system accordingly. (look for correct PO Box or a note from the benefits verifier stating the correct address has been entered into system already).
- Enter necessary changes on computer to update information.
- Collects co-pays and reminds patients of past due balances on day of office visit.
- Confirms patient appointments.
- Answers incoming telephone calls on a multi-line telephone system in a professional manner.
- Transfers calls to the appropriate person and tasks messages in accordance with approved telephone procedures.
- Transcribes information regarding patient visits for medical reports.
- Operates standard office equipment to include multi-line telephone, answering machine, photocopy machine, adding machine, and calculator.
- Tasks computer hardware/software issues to IT Director.
- Adheres to all approved policies, procedures, and philosophies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience
Must be bilingual and have prior Medical Front office experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
