Front Desk Medical Receptionist

NJ Gastro is looking for a Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team!

General Summary of Position:

• Greet patients at reception desk, answer phones, schedule appointments.
• Prepare patients for office visits.
• Provide information/instructions to patients.
• Manage patient schedule and assist with scheduling medical procedures.
• Collect necessary patient records and documentation prior to surgeries and office appointments.
• Communicate with patients to provide pre-operative instructions and appointment information.
• Assist physicians and patients with Telemedicine appointments.
• Collect patient payments and co-pays.
• Collect patient intake information and confirm insurance benefits.

Requirements:

• Must have proficient computer skills, including use of Electronic Medical Records.
• Healthcare and/or Gastroenterology experience required.
• Spanish or Portuguese speaking required.
• Proficient with use of computer tablet for virtual appointments.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be responsible & reliable.
• Must be available Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
