SalaryAs a Part-Time Billing/Medical Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare billing operations. You will be responsible for accurately inputting medical data, verifying patient and insurance information, and ensuring timely billing processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, advanced computer skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and insurance details using various portals.
- Make outgoing calls and emails to clients to obtain necessary information.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medical insurance billing preferred.
- Knowledge of medical/laboratory procedures and terminology is advantageous.
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to type at an adequate speed with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large volume of work.
- Quick learner with the ability to retain information easily.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Schedule:
- Part-Time position (4 days per week)
- Working hours: 7:00 am to 2:30 pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
