We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. Your expertise in medical coding, terminology, and billing systems will be essential in maintaining compliance and maximizing revenue for our organization.
Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to identify appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered
- Submit claims in a timely manner through EHR/PM System
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Post payments into the Practice Management Software
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies or government healthcare programs
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues
- Collaborate with medical providers and office staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems ( ICD-10), and billing processes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and analyze medical records
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and workflows
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Knowledge of medical collection practices and strategies
