Medical Billing Assistant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Medical Billing Assistant for our client in San Francisco, CA. This will be a 100% onsite, full-time opportunity and a contract opportunity. Our client is looking to hire ASAP!
This role will be an administrative support role for our client’s Revenue Cycle Team, specifically supporting the Medical Billing department by performing clerical duties including opening and distributing claims to different team members and sending out claims as needed.
Responsibilities
- Accept, open, and properly distribute mail for the revenue cycle team.
- Receive and process medical claims from healthcare providers, ensuring that they are complete and accurate.
- Scan and file EOBs and medical claims into patient files according to established procedures, ensuring that they are easily retrievable and secure.
- Perform quality control checks on claims to ensure that they are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Distribute claims to appropriate team members as needed.
- Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently in a productive manner
- Proficient working with office machines such as printers and scanners
- Ability to time-manage and prioritize efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, medical records management, or similar experience required
- Experience with copiers, printers, and other office machines strongly desired
- $25-29/hour, DOE
- 100% onsite, full-time schedule
