Mechanical Engineer

Join a small, highly-effective team to build breakthrough new quantum sensors for an extraordinarily broad range of applications, including:

- breakthrough new neuroscience tools for biomagnetic measurements of the brain and heart,

- sensors for space exploration,

- new types of NMR for chemistry,

- instrumentation to define the magnetic field unit, and

- probes into the fundamental nature of the universe.

To complete these projects, we employ a broad range of skills in engineering, physics, computer science, electronics, optics, and manufacturing.

This job is focused on mechanical design in research and development of new products. The work requires extensive co-design using 2D and 3D CAD design tools for all aspects of sensor design, prototype testing, and design for manufacturing.

Although no specific design tool experience is required, we seek evidence that you are highly adaptable, independent, and quick to learn new tools and techniques. The ideal candidate is creative, curious, careful, detail-oriented, and particularly strong in both oral and written collaboration and interpersonal skills.

This job is only open to US citizens. The job is in person five days a week in Plainsboro, NJ.

Pay: $83,000.00 - $113,000.00 per year
