Contract Occupational Therapist | Maternity Leave: August 2024 - October 2024
At ProCare, our mission is to encourage each child to confidently and proudly achieve his or her full potential. We areworking with a school district that is looking to hire a contract Occupational Therapist for a Maternity Leave position starting in August 5th, 2024 until October 31st, 2024.
The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A Maternity Leavecontract will be awarded for you to complete. Caseload Details:
- Full time: 37.5 hours per week
- K-12th grade
- Mild to moderate disabilities
- Itinerant position
Responsibilities:
- Screens and/or evaluates students who have been referred to occupational therapy in the areas of fine motor performance, coordination, postural stability, perceptual motor performance, sensory processing and self-regulation and activities of daily living/functional skills (such as written productions and classroom tool use) with emphasis on present level of performance as related to academic functioning.
- Consults and collaborates with teachers and other specialists regarding appropriate motor activities, self-help skills, sensory needs, adaptations, and special equipment or assistive devices as necessary.
- Maintains accurate records of students evaluated and served in occupational therapy program; including assessment results, IEP progress and other documentation or reports as needed.
- Participates in designated team meetings, individual education plan conferences and periodic reviews involving assessment, programming and reevaluation decisions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Georgia Occupational Therapist license
- CPR certification.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

- 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
