Location: Austell, GA Area
Duration: Start ASAP - May 2024
Position Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
As a School District Occupational Therapist in the Austell, GA area, you will play a crucial role in supporting the developmental needs of students. Your responsibilities will include:
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct prehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
Individualized Treatment Planning:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to enhance students' functional abilities and promote independence in various environments.
Collaboration with School Staff:
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development and well-being.
Progress Monitoring:
- Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to achieve optimal outes.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist: Hold a valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Georgia.
- Experience: Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
Requirements:
- Full-time availability, 37.5 hours per week, from ASAP until May 2024.
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards in occupational therapy practice.
