Get to know the opportunity:
At Voya, we call the 'Operations Coordinator' a SURGE Coordinator. SURGE stands for Strategically Using Really Great Employees.
This position is strategically allocated to various projects and departments across Voya throughout the year based on business needs. During these assignments, the SURGE Coordinator gains valuable exposure to a variety of roles; providing insight to the Voya value stream, creating opportunity to network across the organization, and tailoring a personal development plan that is focused on professional growth and career advancement.
  • Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.
Contribution you will make:
  • Actively take part in self-development of skills needed to perform tasks across customer facing and back office departments
  • Participate in scaled back, rapid training in designated area and perform task(s) as determined by area leader with minimal ramp up time.
  • Flexible and ready to adapt to company needs at a moment's notice.
  • Create and/or update standard of work, reference materials, and job aids as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for problem solving and process improvements, working with peers and business partners to apply continuous improvement problem solving methodology to aid in the resolution of these opportunities.
  • Intentional engagement in huddle, team meetings, trainings, etc.
  • Track timings, volumes, complexity of work, as determined by leader.
  • Self-driven and engaged in daily work with a goal of achieving higher results.
  • Apply experience(s) gained from tasks performed to expand personal view of Voya and figure out next step in one’s career journey.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Consistent high production output in current role while meeting or exceeding department quality goals and KPIs (For internal applicants only)
  • Demonstrated commitment to self-development
  • Proven ability to learn different processes and systems quickly
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and computer software agility
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience
  • Adaptable to needs of the business, bringing “can do it” attitude to every situation
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
  • Associates Degree or above
  • Prior experience working in Contact Center, Financial Services, and/or Medical Claims

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$41,260 - $51,580 USD
