POSITION SUMMARY
We're looking for a Compensation Partner to join our Total Rewards team. The Compensation Partner will help define and drive our global compensation strategies to attract, reward, and retain our highly talented team. They will partner closely with Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, People Business Partners, and members of the executive team to understand our compensation needs and challenges. They will identify opportunities and create proposals to strengthen our compensation program based on Velocity Global's business goals, values, culture, and team.
This position will report to the Senior Director, Compensation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform job analyses for all roles (including FLSA review), evaluate and benchmark positions leveraging external and internal data to make job and compensation recommendations.
- Strategic partner with Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, and Business Leaders to consult, advise, and recommend thoughtful solutions on compensation issues (e.g., new hire offers, promotions, internal transfers, retention, etc.).
- Develop and deliver compensation training and materials to educate employees on Velocity Global's compensation philosophy, strategy, and programs.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Velocity Global's compensation practices and policies
- Identify process improvement opportunities and create/enhance tools to automate compensation processes
- Ensure compensation programs comply with global and national wage regulations.
- Assist with the administration of our annual global compensation planning process and short-term incentive programs.
- Participate in annual salary surveys, review results, and provide recommendations on our compensation ranges to maintain market competitiveness.
- Analyze market data, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of related experience in Compensation, preferably experience working with Sales Compensation in a Global Technology industry
- Strong knowledge of global compensation practices, trends, and regulations
- Deep understanding and experience with Compensation surveys, including participation, benchmarking, data validation, and data analysis
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to effectively analyze large data sets, run complex formulas, develop metrics and models, and automate reports
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with all levels of employees
- Strategic and creative problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience training all levels of employees on compensation education or programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with equity compensation a plus
- Experience working with HR Systems (ADP, Workday, etc. ) a plus
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation a plus
