Lead the scheduling function for all material locations to drive to 100% on-time-delivery and to optimize, raw material,
WIP and finished goods inventory. The PIC Manager will leverage Lean concepts to effectively implement supply chain process and system improvements. Effectively lead, teach, and coach, in a positive manner supporting all material sites.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supply Chain coordination, communication, and activity across functional areas (Customer Service, Sales, Production, and Logistics) relative to production location changes and addressing emergency customer order requests.
Monitor loading and distribution of demand across the network to ensure that orders are assigned to plants in accordance with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) supply plans.
Participate in the demand management/order rationalization process and in the management and disposition of aged inventory. (Resin, corrugated, inks, films, and finished product).
Obtain, assemble and analyze SAP data to assist with planning activities and network scheduling problem resolution.
Participate in daily communications with NA network plant production control representatives to proactively discuss issues relative to short-term capacity and/or meeting our customers' service expectations.
Handling of emergency customer order requests. Investigate plant capability (e.g. material availability, print status, cylinder preparation, order backlog, etc.) and coordinate activity and communications between the Manufacturing Plant and Customer Service.
Work closely with Product and Process Analysts to maintain and ensure accuracy of MRP settings in SAP Master Data. This includes replenishment lead times, safety stocks, special procurement keys.
Maintain model by which optimal inventory stocking levels can be determined. Work with Operations Planning to establish accurate economic reorder points and quantities that support the customer base while minimizing inventory cost for stock programs. Analyze and make recommendations on inventory levels for customer managed stocks.
Maintenance of all procedural and policy documents for Manufacturing and Sales in the Product and Service Offering database. (P&SO)
Prepare monthly progress reports updates and opportunity analysis for management review.
Facilitate returns, destruction, and documentation of scrap and obsolete inventory.
Lead in a positive manner consistent with SEE Leadership Expectations: effectively manage, develop, and motivate direct and indirect reports.
Provide effective, constructive, and appropriate feedback and leadership to direct reports to foster positive, team atmosphere; ensure personal and professional development of direct reports.
Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations.
Perform other duties required to support the Company's business operations.
A minimum of 5 years of Materials experience in Shipping& Receiving, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Distribution and/or Planning/Scheduling experience required.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field. APICS certification preferred.
Previous work experience and knowledge of TOC, Lean and continuous improvement.
Proficient in materials planning within ERP. Previous ERP implementation experience is a plus.
Positive leadership skills with demonstrated ability to develop others.
Outstanding communication skills: interpersonal, written presentation and group facilitation.
Collaborator with service orientation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Project management experience and skill.
Proven ability to make sound decisions to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage several projects at one time while providing high attention to details and excellent follow-through skills.
