Material Planner

The Supply Chain Material Planner is responsible for utilizing MRP to perform consistent and proper inventory management of raw materials, including inventory reports, usage reports, costing reports, and month end reconciliations. Implements inventory control procedures required to ensure proper balance between stock levels and the production schedule. Responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers to understand how to best improve the delivery of raw materials to reduce costs associated with freight and inventory carry. Maintains raw material and packaging supplies inventory to match production schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

• Achieve Best in Class out of stock levels.
• Maintain proper raw material inventory levels utilizing SAP/MRP.
• Create replenishment loads that are optimized to minimize costs.
• Utilizing MRP, plan and schedule all raw material and packaging supplies based on the production schedule, inventory on hand, and storage capacity.
• Report on aging inventory, working with Production to reduce aged out product.
• Maintain raw material and packaging master data to ensure lead times, order quantities and vendor information is correct.
• Enter raw material receipts and final product into the purchasing and inventory systems.
• Verify all raw materials are billed correctly based on set pricing and any accessorial charges are appropriate.
  
• Maintain Raw Material inventory report, updating daily.
• Reconcile physical inventory and prepare month end reports.
• Work with vendors to reduce damaged receipts and deliveries on schedule.
• Perform accurate physical inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies reconcile to reported production usage.
• Participate in annual physical inventory counts across the site

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years Supply Chain experience
• Inventory Control &/or freight management experience
• Purchasing experience
• High School or GED
• SAP/MRP
• Microsoft office
