RRD is looking for a Materials Analyst/Planner to join our team in Houston!
Job Summary
Gathers, enters, manages, and analyzes information to support manufacturing operations. Interacts with customers, suppliers, management, with manufacturing team members, and with other departments and plants. Completes tasks and responsibilities as assigned by department management.
Position Responsibilities:
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
- Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
- Collaborate with vendors and sales team to analyze current trends and production needs
- Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
- Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
- Ensures accuracy of orders and reconciles receivables against them
- Prepares and generates reports as assigned
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Inventory
- Maintains control over inventories, including physical inventory counts and reconciliations
- Manage excess inventory and determine ways to prevent overproduction
- Analyzes inventory levels and production plans to ensure product availability and cost-efficient manufacturing and inventory
Required Skills
- Ability to follow company policy and understand any rules or regulations governing the work being completed and impact work has on department or company.
- Must have very good knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as MS Office or MAC word processing, spreadsheets etc.
- Requires good knowledge of multiple functions or areas of the business in which there is frequent contact with while completing daily work assignments of the job.
- Must have very good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental policy, methods and/or procedures when completing assignments.
- Requires very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines and ability to coordinate phases of work with others.
Required Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of relevant experience specific to function of work, or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of work experience
The national pay range for this role is $43,900 to $77,200 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
