Corteva Agriscience is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to support our Licensing and Distribution (L&D) business, which includes our AgVenture seed brand. The Marketing Communications Specialist will build and execute all Marketing Communication plans for the businesses; as well as create and implement new ideas to build and maintain strong, consistent brands. The role requires a self-motivated, creative, and lifelong learner who seeks out strong relationships within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This strategic thinker also requires a strong attention to detail.

What You’ll Do:

Serve as integral part of the L&D business and AgVenture brand teams.

• Understand customer and field team needs and develop integrated Marketing Communication plans to support business goals.

• Recognize in-season needs and develop plan to capitalize on local opportunities.

Develop a Marketing Communication plan with tactics that efficiently meet business needs.

• Possess a solid knowledge base of all communications mediums – both current and emerging – includes traditional media, digital/social, public relations and more.

• Understand proper use and monitoring of all trademark guidelines, including third party agreements, legal guidelines, company advertising standards, logo usage, and product marketing guidelines.

• Update messaging that tells the story of the businesses both internally and externally.

Manage and execute Marketing Communication strategy.

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a way that resources are utilized efficiently and effectively, and deadlines are met.

• Possess strong attention to detail.

• Develop communication pieces that educate customers and drive the needs of the business.

Understand customer segments.

Plan and execute tradeshows presence, including sponsorships, to promote Corteva traits and genetics to licensee customers.

Manage internal resources, advertising agency and other third-party vendor relationships execute Marketing Communication plan effectively and efficiently.

Manage promotional and advertising budget.

Adopt best practices to leverage across businesses, creatively rethinking current processes, and listening to customers.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or a similar field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications. Experience with the agricultural industry a plus.

• Strong knowledge across integrated marketing, including brand marketing, PR, content management, digital marketing & performance marketing.

• InDesign experience is a plus.

• Must have exceptional verbal & written communication skills.

• Highly collaborative team player willing to jump in to support others on the team.

• Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and creatively solve problems.

• Highly organized with high attention to details and natural ability to take initiative, self-motivated, and comfort managing multiple concurrent assignments with shifting priorities.

• Have the ability to think and work independently and see initiatives through from inception to execution.

• Experience or familiarity with agriculture is a plus.

• Occasionally travel within region and to attend company/industry functions as required.

• VISA sponsorship and International relocation are NOT available for this position.
