Key Accountabilities
2) Be a “Risk Taker:” A Managing Director should literally take risk away from a community. Focusing on possible litigation, helping to manage through resident and employee investigations, and to manage through state compliance matters, the Managing Director is the leader accountable for coordinating the Regional Ops teams on these responsibilities.
3) Keep “Top of the Line Top of the Mind:” A Managing Director should stay focused on increasing gross sales and revenue for the organization. By collaborating with the Sales and Operations teams, the Managing Director must oversee strategy support for the home office leaders impacting the communities.
4) Be an “Accountable Accountant:” Whether helping to manage financial performance, maintain budget oversight, or ensure proper allocation of CapEx funds to necessary repairs and updates, it is the job of a Managing Director to help manage the financial performance of the Arrow portfolio.
Duties
This position description is designated to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope, but not limit the individual or the organization to only the work identified. - Implement efficient processes and protocols to support daily operations within the organization.
- Establish close relationships with all regional team members, service lead members, and home office staff to deliver the best possible results and feedback to ensure successful outcomes.
- Identify potential breaches of Arrow policy as well as state regulations and implement corrective measures to ensure adherence and overall understanding.
- Assess situations, uncover problems, identify potential solutions, and make informed decisions. Areas include, but are not limited to staffing requirements, quality control procedures, equipment needs, budgeting and CapEx expenditures.
- Provide guidance to Regional Operations Directors to ensure growth and professional development within their community leadership teams.
- Ensure positive vendor relationships within the organization and assess relationships on quarterly basis for outcome review.
- Ensure occupancy/ revenue growth along with CORE Sales Directors.
- Analyze reports, evaluate conditions, and provide recommendations to streamline positive outcomes and revenue growth.
- Evaluate, assess, and complete month-end financial statements for each community to target areas of focus to improve productivity, profitability, and efficiency.
- Evaluate pay rates at the community and determine base rates for positions, in conjunction with the community and home office.
- Partner with CORE Service leaders to oversee site visits, reviews, and evaluations for improved performance.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching of Regional Operations Directors and supporting administrative staff for professional development.
- Coordinating and managing the training of new Executive Directors and, for new developments, coordinate operational transitions.
- Manage teams through resolution of conflict and risk management.
- Lead strategic planning and retention goals to reduce turnover.
- Build positive employee relationships by ensuring fair and consistent personnel management.
- Monitor and ensure residents, families, and employees are very satisfied with resident care, services, and programs. Will act as home office liaison in the event of complaint or grievance and will be accountable for overall response management to complaints.
Requirements
- Be at least (21) years of age.
- Shall have two (2) years of college; at least three (3) years of experience providing residential care to the elderly; or equivalent education and experience as approved by the licensing agency.
- Ability to direct the work of others and to provide the necessary leadership for measurable growth and satisfaction in performing the work.
- Be of good character and a continuing reputation of personal integrity.
- Must be willing to travel regularly and work onsite for extended periods.
- Be in good health, and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks. Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days after employment.
- Demonstrates freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days after employment.
- Must be criminally cleared by criminal background check.
- Must have a clean driving record as per the insurance carrier’s policy.
