You will lead a tenured team of technical experts that provide in- depth pre- sales support for Lumen’s solution platform of Connected Security, Edge, Cloud, Adaptative Networking and Communication Solutions. This team supports SLED and covers the Western Region and Texas.
- Lead, Inspire and Develop your staff of high-performance Solution Engineers and Solution Architects to provide timely, accurate and complete customer solution designs and presentations.
- Create and Accelerate Strategic alignment with both internal and external stakeholders to create positive business outcomes
- Influence process improvement initiatives by removing barriers, and modifying or enhancing current processes
- Manage Budget
- Experience in managing consulting professionals
- Fundamental understanding in Cloud & Architecture design - design including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS in virtualized and containerized environments
- Industry certifications: In 1 or more specialized technologies is a plus
- Experience in solution consulting
- Fundamental understanding in Security solutions- DDoS Mitigation, Managed Security Services, and SASE frameworks
- Technical knowledge across one or more Lumen technology pillars (Global network infrastructure, edge cloud capabilities, connected security, communication, and collaboration services).
- Strong verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to lead & engage in technical workshops, RFP, and final solution discussions with customers’ mid-level IT stakeholders.
- Ability to lead & engage in complex deal discussions with internal ecosystem, driving solutions & outcomes with sales, customer success, product & engineering.
- Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to build and present high-quality solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field or Equivalent years of Experience
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$115970 - $144960 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$122070 - $152580 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$128170 - $160215 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$134280 - $167843 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
