Job Title: Purchasing/Scheduling/Special Projects Manager
Location: West Palm Beach, FL,(Hybrid) or Remote, USA
Position Overview:
As the Purchasing/Scheduling/Special Projects Manager you will play a pivotal role in managing our procurement process and optimizing our supply chain operations. Leveraging your extensive experience in the air filter industry, you will lead a dynamic team and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless sourcing of materials and components necessary for our current and future product lines.
Key Responsibilities for the Purchasing/Scheduling/Special Projects Manager:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Identify and establish relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
• Conduct regular supplier audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Along with the Director of Purchasing & Inventory, ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Implement effective inventory forecasting and replenishment processes.
• Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives to enhance profitability.
• Drive initiatives to improve cost efficiency without compromising product quality.
• Conduct testing of products with outside lab to ensure quality assurance. Tests include pressure drop test, flammability test & HEPA and ULPA certification tests.
• Develop and implement risk mitigating strategies to safeguard against supply chain disruptions.
• Stay informed about industry trends, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to the purchasing team, fostering a
culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Conduct performance evaluations and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Qualifications of the Scheduling + Special Projects Manager:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in purchasing and procurement for a filter company, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of success in a similar role within the air filter industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to drive cost savings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using procurement so[ware and tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
