Position Summary:
Oversees and manages the activities of the Applications Team (reports, maintenance, analysis, testing, and implementation of software applications) and Programming Team (reporting, systems analysis, design, writing/coding, and programming services) for the International Foundation.
While a leadership role for the International Foundation with strategic responsibilities, the incumbent could conduct tactical (operational) work in both functional areas, as needed to support the team and meet business objectives and deadlines.

- In partnership with the Director of IT and IT management, establish strategy and operational objectives and deliverables for the functional areas of responsibility.
- Monitor operational metrics and processes, and implement standard methodologies, tools and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Utilize business analytics to transform raw data into business insights that are useful for decision making and strategic planning.
- Support multiple development and/or reporting projects with scheduling, planning, resource allocation, and reporting.
- Establish relationships and work closely with external vendors.
- Foster a collaborative culture of open performance feedback and accountability to achieve excellence. This could include: conducting frequent individual and team coaching, leveraging mentorship relationships, and creating peer work-review opportunities.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of software programs and new technology.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is a functional/departmental manager of both operations, processes and people within the Applications Analyst and Programming Analyst teams.
The Programmer Analyst team is responsible to:
- Coordinate systems analysis and design for various departments
- Design and maintain programs (AMS, SQL, etc.) including writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and/or applications
- Design and maintain all requested reports (AMS, SQL, SRS, Visual Studio, PowerBI, etc.)
- Conduct database modeling and design/develop SSIS and SSAS
- Assist end-users (in-house) in diagnosing, problem-solving and correcting errors
- Assist with testing, installing upgrades for software and hardware, etc.
The Applications Analyst team is responsible to:
- Provide assistance for necessary software and/or hardware updates, especially as it relates to third-party software programs.
- Design and maintain all necessary reports as requested, including reports necessary for the association management software (AMS), using MS Reporting Services (SRS), Visual Studio and other available tools.
- Liaison with the developers of third-party software packages to resolve any problems that may arise.
- Collaboratively support all departments with the utilization of third party software programs.
- Assist the Programmer Analyst team to design and maintain all requested reports in various programs (AMS, SRS, Visual Studio, PowerBI, etc.)
- Draft and maintain SOP documentation for the Applications team functions.
Requirements
Required Education/ Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Informational Technologies, Computer Science (or similar) with a minimum of 5 combined years' relevant experience conducting Business Analysis, Programmer Analyst and/or Applications Analyst responsibilities, through which a comprehensive knowledge of the functional area has been developed.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory position with at least 2 direct reports.
The International Foundation will always consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
In addition to the above-listed required education and experience minimums, candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Microsoft CRM Dynamics
- Ability to provide a positive customer service experience and show good time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in management of major software development projects.
- Extensive experience with Application development methodologies, technologies (languages, databases, tools).
- Knowledgeable in the areas of software testing methodologies and testing frameworks.
- Well-versed in Data Modeling, SQL, and SQL Server technologies.
- Demonstrated talent in exercising and promoting accountability as well as resolving conflict.
- Experience utilizing interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Travel Requirements:
This position may intermittently require that the individual travel for work to support organizational events or initiatives; but not to exceed 10% of the time.
Hybrid Work Environment:
This position is expected to work from our corporate headquarters office in Brookfield, WI. This is an environment with typical office conditions, including lighting, noise, seating, and equipment. New hires are expected to be fully onsite during the training period. Then, once fully trained, the Foundation operates on a 60/40 Hybrid schedule; with 60% being onsite at our headquarters in Brookfield (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays); and up-to 40% being optionally remote (Mondays and Fridays) and as business needs allow.

COMPENSATION, PERKS & BENEFITS:
Comp: Compensation range starts at $90,000, based on experience.
