We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Distribution Supervisor - Off Shift
The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Making workflow decisions under the direction of management. Improving service levels and costs for distribution center operations
Supervising and motivating distribution center employees through effective coaching and training, clear communication of job expectations, and positive reinforcement of exemplary performance; maintaining a positive distribution center working environment
Implementing productivity, quality, and service standards. Resolving problems and identifying areas for improvements
Contributing performance data to strategic plans and reviews
Ensuring all equipment receives preventative maintenance and repairs, as necessary
Adhering to requirements and procedures for safety regulations
Basic Qualifications
Warehouse Management: Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers. Maintains warehouse equipment and facilities. Analyzes and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management in own area. Assists in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution center
Coaching Others: Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness. Coaches others to improve their skills. Observes skill practice; offers constructive feedback. Offers suggestions for performance or process improvement in own unit.
Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. Utilizes positive reinforcement to motivate & attain desired behaviors; increases productivity. Demonstrates leadership qualities: intelligence, dominance, persistence, integrity, confidence. Manages own behaviors during interactions, such as feedback giving, to shape workplace events
Top Candidates will also have
Bachelor’s degree
SAP, EWM, (Extended Warehouse Management) and/or other warehouse management systems knowledge
Previous team lead and/or supervisory experience
Microsoft Office application experience
Strong leadership, initiative and ability to develop working relationships with others
Additional Information:
This position does not offer relocation and is in Miami Lakes, FL
This position may be a 2nd or 3rd shift
