JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the forecasting, ordering and receiving of port installed options (PIO) inventory to ensure sufficient levels are available at all ports and truck production/modification facilities for Isuzu, GM and Hino requirements. Oversees adequate service parts coverage at parts distribution centers for related PIO parts also used for service part demand. Loads all new supplier related information, PIO parts numbers, Bill of Materials (BOMS) and labor rate information into SAP. Maintains PIO Master File of PIO P/N information and PIO disseminated to appropriate departments as needed. Oversees and solves SAP system related discrepancies and issues as necessary.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages inventory levels for PIO parts at all ports and productions/modification facilities. Uses system tools such as SAP, sales reports and production/wholesale estimates to create forecast and order accordingly to ensure proper supply.
- Ensures all master data fields for responsible parts and PIO related codes are loaded, monitored and maintained in SAP. Maintains PIO Cost Structure spreadsheet to track overall PIO costs and profitability. Completes detailed analysis of individual PIO and overall profitability as necessary.
- Advises management of any potential inventory supply related issues and works to expedite product as necessary.
- Supports Product Planning and Engineering group as necessary in the development of new PIO programs.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to: Director, Sales Operations
- Direct report: Accessory Planning Specialist
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent directly related work experience
- Minimum five years automotive/commercial vehicle parts and\or accessory supply chain support
- Minimum three years of supervisory experience
KNOWLEDGE:
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of Parts Inventory Control and Supply Management Principles
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle and PIO/parts supply practices and processes
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization and time management skills
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up
- Ability to interpret production and wholesale forecasts and extrapolate to appropriate PIO order quantities

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less. Rare instances requiring lifting of light objects (5 to 25 lbs.). Overnight domestic travel is rare, but may be required.
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Interprets and executes policies that typically affect subordinate organizational units. Recommends modifications to operating policies.
- Responsible for managing staff function or heads a centralized functional activity. Accomplishes results through lower levels of supervision or through experienced exempt levels of employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Monitors work operations on a daily basis and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing tasks of organizational units. May function as an advisor on all projects and tasks assigned to the organizational units under supervision.
- Frequent contacts with inter-organizational and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.
Pay scale for this position is between $89,913 to $114,639. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
