Job Description:
Provides direction, oversight and leadership for Access Management across Essentia Health. Provides consultative leadership on business challenges and clinical organizational implications to improve the patient experience while delivering a model of care practice that utilizes staff to the top of skill set, improves workflows, and fosters a collaborative partnership with physicians and advanced practice practitioners. This role serves as an integral member of the management team, partnering with operational leaders, Revenue Services, Telecare and Telehealth, for Access Management acting as an internal consulting leader to deliver significant metric and process improvements.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
5 years healthcare experience and 2 years in a leadership role (which could include project/program leadership)
Experience and success implementing operational change and process improvement techniques preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads Access Management initiatives across the system.
• Collaborates with multiple key governance committees and direct clinical operations leadership to define Access Management best practices and standardization and implementation.
oDevelops measures and metrics to track progress against access goals.
oLeads data driven conversations with operational leaders.
• Identifies, arranges, and facilitates education and training to various levels of leadership and staff on key access principles, activities, and tools.
• Leads ongoing development of performance management structure related to Access Management.
• Helps inform strategic access priorities for system.
• Key contributor to developing and implementing core access practice standards across Essentia Health.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with an electronic medical records system, Epic preferred.
• Experience developing measures and metrics and the ability to translate data and facilitate data driven conversations with operational leaders.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or related field of study.
Master's degree in business, healthcare administration or related field of study preferred.
