Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all facility and production equipment is operational while maintaining required documentation for all PM’s and inspections.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Must use LOTO before starting any repair to a piece of equipment.
2. Performs PM’s on plant and production equipment.
3. Responsible for the installation of new equipment.
4. Inspect buildings and systems to identify any issues.
5. Ability to diagnose, test, replace or repair equipment in a timely manner.
6. Keeps spare parts and maintenance items neat and organized.
7. Participates in ongoing technical, safety and operational process training.
8. Maintains inventory of spare parts and supplies and re-orders when needed.
9. Responsible for documenting repairs and updating equipment files.
10. Maintains detailed records and prepares communications and reports as needed.
11. Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, vendors and the general public.
12. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Training and/or Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. A minimum of 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
1. Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
2. Experience with general maintenance processes and methods. (ex. LOTO, PM’s, Critical spares)
3. Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, packaging equipment and general warehouse equipment.
4. Must have strong project management and problem solving abilities.
5. Ability to organize work based off of the priorities on the entire production floor.
6. High degree of initiative and can work independently.
7. Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
8. Self-motivated, proactive and solution focused.
9. Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.
10. Ability to work alongside other employees within all levels of the organization.

Physical Demands:
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. independently. May require evening and weekend hours as business needs demand.

Work performed in a manufacturing and general office environment.
